Robusta coffee has varietals that are divided into two types:

  2. Nganda, which describes wide-spreading shrubs.

Certain varietals of coffee are hybrids between the Arabica and Robusta coffee, such as Kopi Luwak, Timor Hybrid, Icatu beans, and various others.

The first Liberica coffee plantation was established in 1864, but reports of its cultivation date back to 1792. It originated in Liberia and, hence, has this name.
